Founder of GamesMonitor, Martin Slavin died on the Spring Equinox.
We received this news from Martin’s sister Elizabeth:
“Saddest news: Martin gently died on Friday 21st March, just a few days short of his 83rd birthday.
There won’t be a funeral – Martin would have scoffed at the idea of a celebrant he’d never met in a town with which he had no relationship.
In time, I plan to scatter his ashes in a place important to him: on the bank of the river Lea, where you and he spent so much time and effort trying to protect it from the destruction caused by the Olympic site.”
We will be joining family and friends of Martin for the scattering of his ashes and a commemoration in a few weeks time. For any that knew Martin and would like to attend please email.
