London 2012 on Flickr

There is an interesting group on the photo-storage and display site 'Flickr' who are organised around the idea of taking photographs of the changing Olympic landscape.
They say about themselves:
"In these early days it is important that a permanent, public, record of the change is recorded. Not a record stuffed behind an image library "wall", but something we can all contribute to and comment on. To voice our support or our dismay. However we feel.
There's many more years to go, but the images so far set the scene "on the ground" better than any official media outlet.
Keep it up folks."

Olympic changes
On a similar note, theres a good article about how the Olympics have changed Beijing...not necessarily for the better at http://www.indiconews.com/view/12. It has had a detrimental impact upon thousands of Chinese trying to make a living. I think it's a fantastic idea that we keep an eye on how things are changing in London in the long run up to the Olympics. User generated news sites like indiconews.com really offer us the chance to upload any news we have surrounding this issue, so be vigilant and let the public know. Have your voice heard!
