Building solidarity
Opinion | Displacement | Protest | Travellers
... rather than playing into that eminently regeneration game of 'sustainable communities' and 'dangerous classes', it seems to me that the whole idea of a 'People's Plan' needs to be predicated on contact and awareness between the many different groups and individuals in this area who have the most to lose from the Olympics happening.
And this means categorically prioritising activities that stand to build solidarity in our neighbourhoods and with the people who have neither a voice in the popular press nor in campaigning groups like this, for many reasons.
Without this kind of co-ordination, understanding and resolve, we can write objections to planning applications till we're blue in the face.

Building solidarity
I have added this extract from an email debate at: http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/gamesmonitor/message/224
because I think it offers a clear analysis of issues we are all concerned about.
