National Grid and EDF Energy Networks are inviting you to a public exhibition on Friday 3rd November to discuss existing works and proposed future schemes within the respective substation sites at Millfields Recreation Ground, Hackney.

These works are essential to the ongoing regeneration of East London, and form part of the preparations for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. All works are being carried out in close consultation with the relevant authorities.

National Grid and EDF Energy Networks will be present to address any questions in relation to these reinforcement works.

The London Development Agency (LDA) will also attend to provide an update on the construction programme for The Lower Lea Valley Powerlines Undergrounding Project. As a reminder this involves replacing National Grid's and EDF Energy Networks' existing electricity power supplies between substations at West Ham and Hackney with two new cable tunnels.
