2012 blog - is this real?

Are you sure that blog post isn't a parody? This Kawsar has managed to incorporate every marketing cliche and ludicrous unsubstantiated assertion yet devised by the London 2012 spinmeisters. Real people just don't say things like 'showcase' and 'key legacy' and 'power to change and inspire' and 'London 2012 is already a beacon of hope' and they sure as hell don't believe them.

Strange that it seems to have taken a 'local resident' 3 years to visit the 'backyard' that he appears to know nothing about - : "Three years ago the site in Stratford was a redundant, disused and neglected area. Today as I have seen for myself - this is no more."
Evidently he doesn't get out much.

What a tragically misguided statement this is - "the new affordable homes will lay some relief to the epic house shortages in my borough, for example."
While Newham may be getting a few 'affordable' homes in the Olympic Village - which Mayor Robin Wales fears may become a sink estate with many short term, transient residents - when, or if, any houses of any degree of affordability get built on the Tower Hamlets patch of development land in the Olympic park is anyones guess.
