A peer gets confused about Clays Lane.
His comments about how in Hackney Wick "The housing being built there and the street lighting make it safer. The legacy is already with us" are the usual spin.
I assume he's referring to the Mosaic Housing Association development on Felstead Street which was underway before we won the bid and has no connection to the Olympics or legacy.
Also street lighting has been replaced all over Hackney over a period of several years and this also has no connection to the Olympics. Actually the lighting around Hackney Wick station doesn't even look particularly new.
