Dear Resident
RE: OLYMPIC PARK TRAVELLER COMMUNITY RELOCATION PROJECT PUBLIC DROP-IN SESSION
Monday 14 May 4pm - 7pm Nye Bevan Community Hall, Overbury Street, Hackney, E5 0AN
As you may be aware, the London Development Agency (LDA) is currently working to get the land together for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. As part of this process we have been working with Hackney Council to find a suitable relocation site for the Traveller community currently living on Waterden Crescent.
The LDA submitted a planning application to the London Borough of Hackney on 20 April 2007 proposing to develop a Travellers' site on the current Millfields Road depot. This site would be for eight Traveller pitches.
I am writing to invite you to a drop-in session from 4pm to 7pm on Monday 14 May 2007 to find out more about the Millfields Road planning application. This will be held at the Nye Bevan Community Hall on Overbury Street.
Information about the proposed site will be on display and representatives from the LDA and Hackney Council will be available to answer any questions you may have.
I hope that you will be able to attend but if you have any questions in the meantime or would like more information, please call our Community Relations Team on 0800 377 7346.
Yours sincerely
Sara Peters LDA - Olympic Land Team
MAYOR OF LONDON
