I have been doing some filming for a documentary that will focus on Vancouver's 2010 Olympic Games. For the past month and a half we have been focusing on the issue of homelessness in the city.

Top Canadian skiers join climate change campaign

Two of Canada's top winter Olympians are joining environmentalist David Suzuki to fight global warming.

Skier Thomas Grandi and his wife cross-country skier Sara Renner were in Calgary Friday telling reporters they've personally witnessed the impact of climate change in the mountains where they ski.

IOC excludes women ski jumpers

……the International Olympic Committee, …… recently decided to block women ski jumpers from the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.

And get this, IOC member and FIS President Gian Franco Kasper told National Public Radio that ski jumping "seems not to be appropriate for ladies from a medical point of view." What planet is this guy living on? Sure ski jumping is dangerous. But so is downhill racing or luge competition or ski cross.

Parents all over British Columbia are shouting for joy. Care to know why? Well, the province is contemplating closing our schools for two weeks during the 2010 Olympics so that students will have time to feast on the Olympic spirit by becoming real participants in this life-changing event.
