"Hackney WickED Art Festival will not take place in 2012"

Hackney WickED, established in 2008 coinciding with the Beijing Olympics and taking place the last weekend in July since, will not be taking the form of a three day festival this Olympics year.

BoJo's delayed Olympic dreams

BoJo's pet Olympic projects seem to have a habit of crashlanding or, in the case of his London River Park, sinking. Other misdirected enthusiasms include the cable car which also probably won't be ready in time to carry people from North Greenwich to Excel while the Trafalgar Square zip wire along with flags and sculptures hasn't been heard of for a while.

Not the Olympics: Vancouver tourism depends on convention centre

The second summer followng the Winter Olympics of 2010 has shown a fall in overnight stays in Vancouver. Instead of a legacy from the Olympics tourism has depended on the Vancouver Convention Centre.
